Our Beliefs
We follow the Anglican way which means that our spiritual life is supported in three ways:
By Scripture which for us means the Hebrew Bible (the Old Testament) and the New Testament.
By Tradition which is all the ways and rituals that have been passed down through the church from generation to generation. Our main sacraments are the Eucharist (Holy Communion) and Baptism.Â
By Reason which is our God-given capacity to engage with Scripture and Tradition and connect our faith in meaningful ways to everyday life in the 21st century.
These five Marks of Mission are a framework used to describe and encourage ministry throughout the worldwide Anglican Communion:
To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
To teach, baptize, and nurture new believers
To respond to human need by loving service
To seek to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and to pursue peace and reconciliation
To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth
