The rhythm of each gathering includes communal prayers, a Psalm, a reading from Scripture or contemplative source with time for silent reflection, Intercessory Prayers with lighting of candles, and quiet contemplation. The hour is an opportunity to step away from the “Martha” role in our lives where we are filled with the daily demands of a busy world into the “Mary” role where we can sit in community with one another “at the feet of the Lord” and deepen our devotion and personal relationship with God through Christ and in the Holy Spirit.
We meet in the church sanctuary on the 4th Thursday of every month, 1:15-2:15, exceptionally on the third Thursday this month.
If you are interested in attending or would like more information, please contact the Rev. Christine Magrega, Deacon, St. Augustine Anglican Church: [email protected]; Cell: 604-619-4824.
